
4. Health and Wellness Service
This component has the goal of identifying critical health and wellness issues found in target villages and taking proactive steps to mitigate them such that people’s livelihood security is less at risk.
The program collects information on prevalent and persistent diseases in the concession areas. It was revealed from gathered information that Malaria, Diarrhea and eye diseases are persistent in all of these areas.
Information gathering earmarked the need to address basic hygiene and sanitation as well as the potential to initiate beekeeping as an alternative income generation activity and the use of fuel efficient and environmentally friendly stoves.
